Terms of service
These terms govern your use of IronHead™ — every page, every account, every bid, every seller submission, every guide download, and every post in the forums. They are written in plain language so a vintage-motorcycle restorer can read them end to end.
Effective 2026-08-26. Applies to every public route on ironheadguides.com.1Your account
A IronHead™ account lets you list a bike, bid on a listing, buy a guide, post in the forums, and (if you qualify as a seller) manage payout and identity-verification paperwork. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself, keeping your contact email current, and for activity that happens under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that post fraudulent listings, file fraudulent chargebacks, repeatedly no-show on settled auctions, or otherwise misuse the platform.
2Using the platform
IronHead™operates as a marketplace and a content publisher, not as a dealer. We do not take title to anything sold through the auction floor, and we are not the warrantor of any guide's accuracy. We connect bidders with sellers, gate guide access behind paid entitlements, and write the restoration reference content; everything else — vehicle condition, mechanical risk, transaction performance — sits with the parties that own those obligations.
You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and only for vintage-motorcycle parts, vending, and discussion. You agree not to scrape, resell, or republish guide content outside the personal-use scope of the licence below.
3Auction activity
Bidding on a listing is governed by the auction rules. Buying a settled listing means accepting the vehicle under the buyer disclosures. Listed vehicles are sold as-is — read that page before bidding.
Listing a vehicle for sale is governed by the seller agreement; a seller affirms ownership, title status, and mileage accuracy at the moment of submission.
4Guide licences
When you buy a guide, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and apply the guide for your own restoration projects. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or republish the guide (in whole or in part) outside the personal restoration scope. Workshop owners may reference the guide internally for an active build but may not share the PDF with customers or other shops.
Guide content is informational only. It does not replace a factory service manual, an official dealer bulletin, or the judgement of a qualified mechanic working on your specific motorcycle. See the guides disclaimer for the full list of what guides do and do not cover.
5Prohibited uses
- Fraudulent listings. Posting a listing for a vehicle you do not own, with a mileage reading you know to be inaccurate, or with a title status different from the actual title document.
- Shill bidding. Bidding on your own listing, coordinating bids with a confederate to drive the price, or retracting a bid you placed with intent to manipulate.
- Fraudulent chargebacks. Filing a chargeback on a settlement or guide purchase that was actually delivered, in lieu of working through the disputes process.
- Content scraping. Mass-downloading guide PDFs, scraping forum threads, or repackaging platform content outside the licence above.
- Harassment. Threatening or harassing other bidders, sellers, or forum participants either on-platform or off-platform in a way that traces back to activity here.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of IronHead™ is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We do not exclude liability where doing so is impermissible (for example, liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct in jurisdictions that forbid such exclusions), and nothing in this section is intended to override a non-excludable right you hold.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost goodwill, or business interruption, except where a jurisdiction's consumer-protection regime provides you a non-excludable remedy.
7Disputes and changes
If something goes wrong on the platform, the stepped process on the dispute resolution page is the first stop. Refund and cancellation mechanics (including what happens when the buyer files a chargeback) are on the refunds & cancellations page. The governing-law clause and forum for any unresolved dispute are kept jurisdiction-neutral on this page because they require review by qualified counsel before they can be relied on.
When we change these terms — for example, adding a new prohibited use or adjusting the liability cap — we update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and publish a short note in the public changelog.
